This will be Sasha’s second year as Athletic Director at Great Lakes Christian College. Sasha graduated from Great Lakes in 2014 with her Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications. Sasha also played volleyball and basketball here at Great Lakes and will serve as the women’s assistant volleyball coach for the school as well.
Sasha graduated from East Lansing High School and spent time working in many areas for the YMCA in Lansing, MI. Sasha has a background in community outreach and developing programs for children of all ages, in building character and faith. Sasha and her husband, Josh, currently reside in Lansing, MI.
Men's Basketball Coach
Josh Lockwood is back for his second stint with the Great Lakes men’s basketball program, and his sixth year coaching at Great Lakes. Coach Lockwood spent four years as the assistant coach for the men’s basketball program here at Great Lakes, and spent time coaching middle school and high school basketball programs before coming to Great Lakes. He served as the head women’s basketball coach last year at the school.
Coach Lockwood is a native of Corunna, Michigan, and is currently serving as Director of Admissions here at Great Lakes. Coach Lockwood and his wife, Sasha, who is the Athletic Director at Great Lakes and is a graduate of the school, currently reside in Lansing, Michigan
Sandi Solomon-Williams begins her first year as head women’s basketball coach at Great Lakes Christians College.
Sandi lettered in basketball, volleyball and softball in high school, earning state championships and national titles. She went on to play college softball on a full athletic scholarship, and has been inducted into the Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame.
Coach Sandi brings 15 years of experience coaching at many levels: high school, middle school, and AAU leagues. She also has helped build youth basketball programs, train coaches and has run boys and girls basketball camps over the last 5 years.
A graduate of Cornerstone University, she holds a BS in business administration. Sandi resides in Haslett, MI, happily married with four children. Coach Sandi also teaches Sunday School at her home church in Lansing, MI.
Coach Sandi’s focus is on helping and instilling Godly characteristics into her players. She also believes in teaching fundamentals on both sides of the court and works to inspire players to reach their potential on and off the court.
