Womens Basketball Coach
Josh Lockwood is back coaching the Great Lakes women’s basketball program for the 2017-18 season, and his seventh year coaching at Great Lakes. Coach Lockwood spent four years as the assistant coach for the men’s basketball program here at Great Lakes, and spent time coaching middle school and high school basketball programs before coming to Great Lakes. Coach Lockwood served as the head women’s basketball coach during the 2015-16 season and as the head men's basketball coach during the 2016-17 season at the school.
Coach Lockwood believes that basketball is another avenue on building faith and character within God's Kingdom. Coach Lockwood is a native of Corunna, Michigan, and is currently serving as the Athletic Director here at Great Lakes. Josh and his wife, Sasha, and their son, Amos, currently reside in Lansing, Michigan.
Coach Ryan Miller has been coaching volleyball for 6 total years including 12 seasons of club teams and 6 seasons of High School. Ryan started as Varsity Assistant Coach at Holt High School in 2012 where the team achieved CAAC Conference Championship. He then earned the Head Coaching job at Lansing Catholic High School. During his 5-year tenure at Lansing Catholic Ryan led the team to several school records including the school’s first ever Conference Championship in 2015, and then winning again back-to-back in 2016. (10-0, 9-1 respectively). The team also earned the school’s first ever volleyball District Championship in 2015. Coach Miller’s team earned the best overall records in volleyball twice; once in 2014 (24-14), and topping their own record in 2016 (26-12). In 2016 Lansing State Journal announced Coach Miller as the All-Area Coach honors in Class B. Coach Miller in 2014 helped create a new club volleyball program in Lansing called Ballistic Volleyball. Along with several other coaches the club has grown consistently and now oversee more than 15 regional teams.
Coach Miller hopes to bring his knowledge and passion for volleyball to Great Lakes Christian and continue building on a successful program. He believes that there is a profound connection between lessons learned in sports and in life. His goal is to help strengthen that connection for the students.
Kayleigh grew up in Mason, MI and attended Lansing Christian High School where she was a three sport athlete. She later attended Spring Arbor University where she played basketball and volleyball. Her senior year Kayleigh led the team in digs with a game high of 36, ranking her 9th in the conference in digs. Kayleigh spent one season as an assistant coach at Ballistic Volleyball and is excited to begin her first season coaching at GLCC. Currently she works also at the Capital Area Humane Society as the Development Assistant. She is excited to share her passion of volleyball with the team and show how impactful it can be on other areas of their lives.
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Coach Robin was born and raised in Flint, MI; where her basketball career began. As a student athlete, Coach Robin possessed the potential, talent and discipline to excel in multiple sports. As a graduate of Flint Central High School in 2001, Coach Robin was a participant of the Track and Field team. Basketball was her main sport where she was most dedicated and decorated. Coach Robin was named team captain during her senior year of high school and was also recognized as an All City player and Saginaw Valley Honorable mention in her conference play.
Coach Robin went on to play at Mott Community College on a Scholarship from 2001-2003 where she was also named captain her sophomore year. In 2007 Robin graduated from Baker College of Flint where she obtained an Associate of Applied Science to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She went on to begin her career in Physical Therapy where she has remained on this career path for the past 10 years. Coach Robin is currently employed with Advanced Physical Therapy Center and enjoys helping and restoring confidence to the injured.
More importantly, Coach Robin is a born-again believer. She believes in the power of Christ that enables the believer to change, help and enhance the quality of life in this present world. Coach Robin is married to Kevin Crosby, to whom she loves dearly. She enjoys spending quality time with family, working with the youth and participating in community development. Coach Robin is a licensed Missionary and serves in various capacities at her local Church. (El Shaddai Ministries, Flint, MI, Supt Steve A. Hawkins’s Pastor) such as, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor’s Aide Committee, President of Young Women Christian Council and Church Usher.
Coach Robin is excited about the opportunity to serve as Assistant Coach and anticipates sharing her wealth of basketball knowledge and experience with the GLCC family.
Men's Head Basketball Coach
As a native of the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, Coach Crosby has always loved the game of basketball and has stayed close to the game since relocating to Flint, MI in 2004. Coach Crosby's college education journey began at Mott Community College and continued at Northwood University. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Business Administration. Coach Crosby coached both girls and boys basketball at Bunche and Brownell Elementary in the city of Flint from 2005-2009. His passion and heart’s desire is to develop the youth of this generation in the spirit of excellence by teaching life principles through the game of basketball. More recently, Coach Crosby was the Assistant Men’s basketball coach at Flint Genesee Job Corps Center for the past two and a half years with a winning season of 25-3. Coach Crosby is currently employed with Alutiiq Professional Youth Services (DBA Flint Genesee Job Corps) as the Finance Manager where he has thrived in several positions over the past six years and have been recognized with certificates for his leadership qualities by both management and the student body. Through community partnerships and sponsorships, Coach Crosby has facilitated multiple free basketball clinics with various giveaways in the city of Flint for youth ages ranging from 5-15 entitled “The Husky Clinic”.
Personally, Coach Crosby is a bible believer and understands the importance of walking in purpose. He is a man who enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to his beloved wife of six years, Robin E. Crosby. Coach Crosby has a beautiful daughter, Brianna Crosby, who is enjoying her high school experience in Chicago, IL. Coach Crosby is a licensed ordained minister in the Church of God in Christ and serves as Youth pastor and Sunday school Superintendent under the tutelage of his pastor Superintendent Steve A. Hawkins, Sr.-El Shaddai Ministries, Flint, MI, to whom he attributes much of his manhood and ministry growth. He has also served as the Youth President of Michigan Southeast Jurisdiction for three years under the leadership of Bishop Roger L. Jones, Sr. - Prelate. Coach Crosby is deeply rooted in community involvement through volunteer events, faith based church services, neighborhood beautification and outreach efforts. He ascribes his success to God first, his mother, Eunice Crosby, for excellent home training and self-respect and many others that have played major roles in his life.
Coach Crosby's passion and gifting is most evident working with young men from all walks of life. He takes his calling to mentor to heart and guard its responsibility with integrity and accountability with principles from the bible. Coach Crosby is excited and thankful to GLCC for the opportunity to lead the Men’s Basketball 2017-2018 season as head coach and looks forward to winning by serving and preparing the young men to be “Servant-Leaders in the church and world”.

Coach Gray was born in Flint, Michigan and attended high school at Flint Central where he graduated in 1981. He then attended the University of Detroit Mercy 85’ and obtained a Bachelors of Art degree, and then acheived a Masters in Sports Administration from Saint Thomas University in 2017.
Coach Gray participated on an undefeated state championship team (28-0) in 1981. After high school, attended Northern Illinois University from 1981-1982 and reached the NCAA tournaments. Transferred to Wabash Valley Junior college from 1982-1983 and finished 9th place in the National Junior College tournaments. Then attended the University of Detroit from 1983-1985 and was the leading scorer for two straight season and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Art.
After college, got drafted by the Washington Bullets (Wizards today) in 1985. After not making the team, began an international career in 1986.
First, played over in the Philippines for one season in 1986 and then went on to play 17 years in Europe beginning in 1987. Played in various countries such as Germany, Italy, and Greece.
After playing days, begin a professional coaching career in Germany starting in 2002 which span over 8 years, coaching in the top professional, 2nd league, 3rd league and youth teams.
Came back to the U.S. in 2012 and coached at Flint Southwestern Academy for 2 years from 2012-2014 and in the first season won the District and reached the Regionals of the high school tournament and the finals of the District in the second season.
Now just June 2017, became an assistant coach at Great Lakes Christian College in Division 2 and completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration in May 2017.
